1991 Jeep Comanche "Eliminator"

This is the current daily driver, and weekrnd warrior.

I put my blood, sweat and tears into this truck. After installing a new interior, engine, transmission, transfer case, axles, and basically everything, I have it almost the way I want it. It is a 1991 Jeep Comanche Eliminator with 154,000 miles on it. It has a rebuilt Jasper engine (about 2,000 on the clock). It is a 4.0L H.O., four wheel drive, automatic, with A/C, cruise, buckets, interior light group, power steering, power brakes, and every option except for power windows and locks, but I will do that in the future.

Street Machine

Before the Lift and tires...Looks like it could have just rolled off the factory floor.

Thsi is what it looked like after some exterior work.

This is what the truck looked like after I got it painted, and put some new wheels on it. I like it like this, where you could scream the tires, and just roast away, but I am more of an off-road person, and while I don't mind street trucks, I wanted a screamin' 4X4.

After the LIFT!!!

This is the current state of the truck. Lifted glory. I ordered a 3" Rusty's offroad lift kit, and , later(that includes shipping) I had a lift kit with shocks, brakeline drop, AAL, 3" coils, and stickers to boot. While the shocks didn't have boots on them, I went down to the local 4x4 shop, and got a set for $1.00, and put the lift on the next day. While putting the lift on isn't the easiest thing to do, there could have been worse. I had a spring decompress twice while my face was about 1 foot away, but, I eventually got the front together. I have to say, while I would have like to do a SOA, the 3" Ruty's was plenty of lift for a weekend warrior. I already have an AAL on the rear thanks to some junkyard leaf springs, but will put on the Rusty's AAL, as soon as they send me tyhe right shocks. I picked up the tires at the local Farm and Fleet, and had them mounted and balanced. I have included a link to the Rusty's site below. The Comanche lifts are on the bottom.

Rusty's Offroad

This is what it looked like...

What It looked like after finding the best rust-free body in the midwest, that was up for grabs. Graned a rust-free body involved about 3 trucks, it was well worth it after I got it painted. In the picture, I am finished with all of the drivetrain, and its a great runner, but I took it to Maaco, and got it painted black.

Weekend Warrior.

After the 3" Rusty's AAL, and my 31" BFG A/T's. Also I have the bumper thumper, mounted, and the roll bar in for a dry fit.

Talk about rough...

This is what it looked like as a runner, but before I started on the outside. Sure it runs good, and works, but it needed some visual help.
